February Snow Day

In February, we received a beautiful blanket of snow that led to hours of rare, cherished play in the snow!

Brendan loved his miniature Frosty the Snowman... so much that he gave him a kiss!

And a high-five!

Ta-Da!

This is one of my favorite pictures.  As I was scrambling to build something big and impressive in the snow, little Brendan was delighted to catch the flakes on his tongue, intrigued to feel what it was like to lick the snow from the branches, and fascinated that once he caught the snow in his mittens, it would immediately melt. I love learning and growing from my experiences with a two-year old.

Hadley, on the other hand, was wondering why in the world we were outside when it was so incredibly cold. :-)

When Daddy came home, Brendan got to go out back and make a respectable snowman.  Thank goodness for Daddy.

It became even more respectable when he added the University of Utah hat (actually chosen by Brendan, not Daddy).  I now regret never purchasing a UVA or UK hat.

These pictures are amazing! So cute. Your babies are perfect models and your camera is great.
