BAR is better

As soon as my parents decided to name me "Brendan Alldredge Richards", several friends wittily remarked that my initials would spell "BAR". My parents simply replied that it stood for "raising the bar" and not "going to the bar". However, when they finally got my initials to put over my bed (it took six months for Babies R Us to get the letter B), they decided it might be better to put the R in the middle and the B and A on each side, so that it did not say BAR. It was not until Daddy had hung each letter beautifully and they stepped back to admire their work that they realized it now spelled "BRA"! That's WAY WORSE on a young boy's wall. After doubling over in laughter for quite a long time, they quickly switched the letters back to BAR. BAR is definitely better than BRA.
